Kevin Connor SC commenced at the Bar in 1989 having been an associate to her Honour Mary Gaudron in 1987 and 1988 following her Honour’s appointment to the High Court. Prior to this, Kevin practiced medicine in various hospitals in various domains, having obtained first class honours in medicine.
Since coming to the Bar, Kevin Connor SC has had a diverse experience in practice as a barrister being involved in cases in many different areas of the law including: equity and trusts, law governing public power (administrative law), constitutional, taxation, commercial, inquiries, inquests and Royal Commissions, personal injury and medical negligence and disciplinary matters. Having a medical background, Kevin has been involved in health law in its numerous domains for more than 30 years.
Kevin Connor SC has long held a deep interest in how brains and minds work. Law intersects in numerous ways with brains and minds. Kevin spent a year in neuroscience research and has read widely in this area. Kevin seeks to bring an understanding of brains and minds to the law.
