Benjamin was admitted to practice in 2017 and called to the Bar in 2025.  Benjamin accepts briefs across all areas of law, with a particular focus on public and administrative law, civil litigation, and employment law.

Before being called to the Bar, Benjamin was a Principal Solicitor at the Crown Solicitor’s Office where he regularly advised and appeared for government agencies.  As a solicitor, Benjamin developed a wealth of experience in appeals from government decisions, and particular expertise in firearms licensing and Working with Children Check Clearances.  Benjamin has extensive experience appearing in applications for administrative review before the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Prior to practising as a solicitor, Benjamin was the tipstaff to the Hon Justice Lonergan in the Common Law Division of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Benjamin holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Science (double majoring in Computer Science & Mathematics) from the University of Sydney.  His technical background in computer science and mathematics equips him to handle matters involving complex technical evidence, expert evidence of statistical analyses, digital forensics and cybersecurity, and other technology-adjacent issues that frequently arise in modern litigation.

Benjamin has a strong interest in medical negligence and intentional torts and is an author of the texts Australian Medical Liability (5th ed. 2024) and Institutional abuse of children: Legal remedies and redress in Australia (1st ed. 2019).
