David was called to the Bar in 1992 and has practiced principally as a common lawyer to the present time. David has appeared in the High Court of Australia, the Federal Court, the NSW Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and District Court, as well as appearing interstate.
He has developed a strong practice acting for both Plaintiffs and Defendants in the field of personal injury. He has advised and appeared in matters involving professional negligence, motor accidents, work injuries and general litigation.
David has a particular interest in psychological injury cases and is frequently briefed to appear for the State on behalf of the NSW Police Force, Fire & Rescue NSW and the NSW Ambulance Service in such matters.
David is also experienced in aviation law, regularly appearing in various jurisdictions for Qantas, Emirates, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airways.
As a result of his love for the beautiful game, David is the manager of the NSW Bar Football team and sits as an appeal member on NSW Football’s Appeal Panel.
