Dr Tamsin Waterhouse was called to the Bar in 2021, and has a particular interest in inquests and inquiries as well as medical negligence, aged care and disability matters.
Before being called to the Bar, Tamsin worked as a clinical doctor in general practice in various settings from the Australian Defence Force to a remote Aboriginal community. She specialised in medical management and then qualified in law, being admitted to practise as a solicitor in 2015. Tamsin has managed hospitals, held senior medical and legal executive roles for two large Local Health Districts, and served on several not-for-profit Boards.
Tamsin has appeared in inquests as Counsel Assisting as well as representing parties with sufficient interest. She also represented the Australian Academy of Science in the 2022 Inquiry into the convictions of Kathleen Folbigg, and was Counsel Assisting for the NSW Special Commission of Inquiry into Health Care Funding.
Tamsin is an inaugural member of the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Board.
